Multiple Tooth / Full Arch Replacement
Because implants are stronger than natural tooth roots, several missing teeth can often be replaced with fewer implants.
There are basically two types of appliances that are supported by multiple implants:
- Fixed appliance
- Removable appliance
Fixed Appliance
This refers to a type of bridge which may be either cemented or screw-retained. It is, however, non-removable. It may replace a few teeth or all of the teeth in one arch.

Implants may support a full or partial denture. Generally, you will need a minimum of 4 implants to support a lower denture and 6 implants to support an upper denture.

The added feature of a partial denture, which is implant supported, is that there is no need to have unsightly metal clasps.
